I'm currently doing an internship with the Adventist Media Network in Sydney, Australia. It's a part of my Communication degree. We're putting together 2 hours of content for Hope Channel every week, and there are only 3 of us. (In case you have access to Hope Channel, we're doing a block of programs that air on the weekend: Mission Brother Thailand, InFocus, South Pacific Classics and It Is Written Oceania). It's basically quick and dirty - very little time for creativity and finesse, just bang it out ASAP. A good environment to learn efficiency, I guess.
I'm on dialup at the moment, so I haven't checked out your showreel. I'll try to do so sometime soon.
I like your reel. It shows that you have a variety of experience as a writer/director/DP/producer and that you can work in both film and digital formats. You might want to consider creating a website for your work so you can send people to it to get more information about you. You could put the URL at the end of the demo reel to drive traffic to your site. You also might want to create multiple reels with different focuses once you decide which direction you want to go in (i.e. producing, directing, DP, editing, etc.)
I appreciated all your projects at the festival this year. You have a lot of talent and I'm sure you'll be able to get work once you graduate. Let's stay in touch and good luck with graduation.
Hey Adam,
How did your senior project turn out? I never heard back from you.

Hi Adam,
Welcome to Adventist Filmmaker.com! Please feel free to post any of your lastest work, meet others in the group, and make yourself at home. Also please invite your other friends at Southern to join as well. I'd love to see more collaboration among us all.
All the best,
Stephen
P.S. If you run into Kristine Barker (freshman Film major), tell her Stephen Eyer says "hi" and to join up. : )
