Tim, hey there!
What I would like to see is a first class historical docu-trama that would be a series for Adventist
TV. The HOPE channel is already interested in some quality material like this, and they have expressed great interest in this par...
I'm a native, 6th generation Californian, and have worked in film since 1968.
My motion picture industry experience consists of everything from being an extras casting director, choreographer, art and production designer, property master, set decorator, project developer, technical advisor for historical film, producer, and director, for both feature and documentary film.
Credits include feature films like, LAST OF THE MOHICANS, RICHIE RICH, THE JOURNEY OF AUGUST KING, THE PATRIOT, with some work for NORTH & SOUTH [TV] AND GERONIMO. Made for TV films include, THE BROKEN CHAIN, TECUMSEH, ANDERSONVILLE, Alex Haley's QUEEN and documentries like THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, ALAMANCE, THE WAR THAT MADE AMERICA, FOUNDING FATHERS, TRUE CARIBBEAN PIRATES, and others, besides commercials.
Over the years I've worked with Public TV, both national and state, The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, NBC, CBS, Ted Turner, Warner Brothers, Columbia Tristar, 20th Century Fox, Paramount, and even AMERICA'S MOST WANTED!
I've just created a new film company, Advent Pictures, to produce feature and educational film/TV shows, that convey true Christian, and Adventist values, to encourage people in their quest for spiritual truth, and to show the realtionship of natural living, health, to spiritual growth.
God is using your talents in a mighty way! May He bless you even more.
Thank you for sharing it with your friend, I am humbled by all of this. God-willing we will meet when you come to Florida.
God-speed,
Thanks for the comment. I think that doc on Hispanic impact on the Revolutionary war sounds very intriguing. I don't think I've ever heard of that kind of perspective in that war, I think it has definite potential to capture the audience's interest. I know I'm interested.
Nice to meet you too Thomas. Its awesome to know there are adventist filmmakers here in Orlando.
My passion is directing and thats what I ultimately plan on doing. I also love to edit. I know you have to start from the bottom so I plan, when i graduate, to find a job in the adventist community in filmmaking and just work my way up to being a director.
Currently I go to Full Sail University, in Winter Park, and I graduate this November.
What upcoming productions are you working on? And if you ever need a hand in your future work I'll be glad to help out.
Have fun shooting in Orlando, it's where I grew up. Lots of good people back there. I think there are a lot of technically good people out there coming out of UCF, Valencia Community College, and a trade school called Full Sail.
Nice to see a fellow vegan and someone who's concerned about our environment!!!
Mr. Tucker,
Thank you for your comment it really uplifted me and reminded me of how I should perceive the film industry. Sometimes I feel bad for not sharing the popular opinion but My Lord Jesus always reminds me that I am slowly becoming the women He would have me to be.
In 2005 God gave me a beautiful film to write but I let life distract me and have not wrote the dialogue for the film. Please pray that God gives me focus and strengthens my endurance to write the film as He would have it.
You really know what your talking about.
much love and respect,
Maria
