I started a screenplay called "War in Heaven" after it came upon me that this story needs to be on film (and I had the same "Star Wars" thing going in my mind!). I haven't have some of those social resources to draw on. In my own circle of Adventists I have received a very lukewarm and sometimes cold response to this idea...but I know that this project is of God.
We have to realize that many people are not going to pick up The Great Controversy and read it cover to cover because they don't have the time, the vocabulary, are intimidated by the size and scope of the book, etc...but they will see a film!
This has been cooking in my mind for some time, I've not finished the screenplay but have a good outline and synopsis, some dialogue written, ideas for visual themes, etc...have been working on it when I can, and its time to get it printed on film! What is the status of your project now? Maybe we can dovetail some of this stuff together.
