so here it is, I'm an SDA and I'm a actor. It took years of therapy to come to that conclusion and be ok with it....so whats the big deal that we can't work in this biz? It's all about STORY TELLING, yes it can change the world, we can make a difference in our actions and story telling, we can inform and educate, we can provoke ideas and present radical thoughts and move people to make this world a better place..isn't that what Jesus did? There is something about playing a bad guy as an actor.....it would be like playing Hitler or King Harrod, you would have to be a good enough actor to make it believable, or else it would fall apart, it would be your job to play it to a "t" and have the audience walk away moved and thinking about the psychology of that character, the idea is to tell a story, sometimes it's not a happy story or a redeeming character but this life can never be perfect, Thank God for heaven.....that's my soap box, I've said it.
I'm a classically trained actor that has been living in Hollywood for the past 10 years, I have studied with Daniel Henning at the "Blank Theater Company", playhouse west with Robert Carnegie, and with Howard Fine. I have worked on both sides, NYC and Hollywood, I'm a theater actor by heart, I love the stage, i made my professional stage debut in Terrance McNallys "Lisbon Travata" at the Knightsbridge theater as Paul (yes the character was gay and naked) It was a great learning journey for me as an actor stepping into that character and world. I have also done workshops on such plays as Stephen Belber's "Tape", Fit to be tied, the last days of judas Iscariot, and Stitching.
I have been twice on the slate invited back to audition for The Actors Studio (NYC), I have also had the opportunity to work with some amazing film people, on some landmark projects. One that I'm not particularity proud of "Date Movie" (sorry if you spent money on that one) but I can say that it was my first big studio film contract that i booked all on my own and I'm very proud to say that....
