Hmmm...touchy situation!
We can have sexual content in our films, certainly. How we present the content is another matter entirely. I just completed my first real short and deal with what could be considered sexual scenes, but did not present any...
I can't remember where I read it, but it really hit me hard: if Jesus was an actor, what would you, as director, feel comfortable in asking Him to do? Would you ask Him, for instance, to French-kiss another actor who wasn't His wife in real life? ...
Did God refrain from Sexual content in the Garden of Eden? Did he stop the practice after sin entered the world?
There is nothing wrong with the sexual content, it's all about how it is perceived. Since when did sex become something wrong or tabo...

I believe Jesus can wash away ANY sin.
I love GOD's word and strive to live my life by it's commandments.
I believe God manifested Himself to all nations, tribes and peoples.
I know that everything God created Satan perverted including christianity.

Quarter life crisis
Hello, everyone this does not have too much to do with film but I love this network because I feel that I can really be my true spiritual self. I am always myself but on filmmaker I can incorporate God and you guys understand me! and might I add ask me really good questions and give good feedback and I appreciate you all who have commented on my discussion and blogs.

P.U.C.
Hey guys I am going to apply to Pacific Union College because I want to have an Adventist education and I know that P.U.C. is a wonderful place to get a film degree. Godwilling I will be there in Fall 2010 and I am counting the days till then. I need to strenthen my faith in Adventism because in Indianapolis I have been able to grow spritually and I know that an Adventist College is a great place to grow closer to God. Pray
I have been working on a wonderful screenplay on and off for three years please pray that The Father takes away my ADD and I know that I could be writing right now but I need prayer. I am glad that we have a place on the internet that we can share our beliefs and our art. Also that we all believe in the power of prayer.

The Oscars....
I was listening to the radio station K-love this morning and I heard their christian film critic commenting on the nominated movies. He seemed highly discontented with their choices (there will be blood, and atonement), because one of the movies is about a serial killer getting away with murder and the other about lustfilled love. Take a look sometime at a book by Julia Cameron [screen writer] called THE ARTIST'S WAY. There is a lot of useful advice and support to help us remove writer's block.
She is a bit New Agy, but I think she has a lot of insight on this. Whatever is good, pure, etc. think on these things!

Just got back from filming up in Asheville, NC and will be going down to Orlando to start this Wed.
Our shoot up in Asheville went off well and we shot some great footage!
Have to get back to work now, will be out of town for weeks after tomorrow, and I still do not have a film crew firmed up on our very long S. California shoot!!!!!
I liked your life principles, such is hard to find anymore, even in Adventism where too many use religion to cover up their self worship, or the worship of man and leaders. When are we going to realize that Jesus is our King, not some guru??
